![]() These are great changes in making Oxford a more representative University to better serve the whole of society as the world's leading research university. This has also had no measurable impact on academic performance I understand. Changes like this will significantly help in reaching inclusivity goals. This is not unique to Brasenose College I believe, other colleges are implementing similar changes. The college provides significant financial support to enable access. To add the Google Earth repository, you need to first install the key so your Ubuntu will trust the package from that repository. The Undergraduate population of my former College, Brasenose College was about 80%+ public/private school educated in the early 2000s, today more than 80%+ of undergraduate students are state school educated. If that doesn't suit you, our users have ranked more than 25 alternatives to Google Earth and nine of them are available for Linux so hopefully you can find a suitable replacement. There is still significant work to reach attainment targets for BME populations, women and people with disabilities. The best Linux alternative is Organic Maps, which is both free and Open Source. Ive tried several times to install Google Earth for Ubuntu 12.10 and keep getting installation errors - usually dependency errors. The University of Oxford is making significant progress towards being a much more inclusive University.
